Mona Leckie has been established for over fifteen years in the making and supply of English baskets and works with a group of local basketmakers. She is a member of The Basket Makers Association and her company has supplied a wide range of standard and specially designed baskets for individual customers and supplied nationally known retailers.  A thriving international mail order business has been developed sending English baskets around the world. In addition to her Basketry work, Mona Leckie , restores and repairs chair seating in cane and rush.

All Mona Leckie baskets are made from English Willow which provides the basket maker with a rich variety of colour and texture. The Natural Willow has a green/brown tone, with a barky texture. The Buff Willow is the natural willow boiled with the bark peeled away to give a golden brown tone and smooth texture. The White Willow has had the bark peeled away, leaving a smooth white/creamy finish
